Professor Mc Kaig Named Fellow at Institute for Policy Studies
Professor Bruce Mc Kaig has been named a 2016 Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies.
His research examines funding policies and practices in the arts and art education. Professor Mc Kaig writes that “I believe that access to the arts and humanities is fundamental to healthy individual and communal welfare. Though I often advocate for increased funding, I also believe that with rigorous research we can identify better options for current funds to positively impact more people. I believe that we must revisit traditional definitions and metrics used to quantify and qualify funding policies and practices in the arts and art education.” Read more
