Prof. Acres to speak at Colgate University

Prof. Al Acres will speak in the Art & Art History Lecture Series at Colgate University on September 25. His topic is “Styles of Meaning: Jan Gossart’s Adoration of the Kings.” With emphasis on the painter’s unusual sense of his own professional identity, the lecture will propose new dimensions of interpretation for one of the definitive works of Northern Renaissance art.
